The Madison County Business Expo will be held Thursday, May 24th at the Fire Dept. Up to 50 businesses offering fun giveaways, door prizes, samples, Rochelle Ruritans doing popcorn, Graves Apple Cider (along w/Festival of Music ticket door prizes), Sheriff's Barrel Train from 3pm-5pm, stay tuned for more details!!

MAD Arts is very pleased to announce an art show featuring two talented local artists;

Mack Rowe and Rodrick Rhodes.

Meet the artists at the opening reception which will be held on Friday, May 25th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at MAD Arts.  Refreshments will be provided.  The show will be on display from Friday, May 25th until Sunday, June 3rd.  This is a family friendly event for the young at heart and children of all ages.  
 
About the Artists -
 
Mack Rowe, a resident of Madison County, creates imaginative and humorous artwork in his private "Art Ark" from found objects.  His specialty is "Rowe-bots" and there will be many on display and for sale in all shapes and sizes.  Mack is an accomplished writer, watercolor artist and professional cartoonist. 
 
Rodrick Rhodes is an art educator in Louisa County.  His striking collection of colorful, everyday objects turned into works of art will captivate your imagination and senses.  His work is playful and just downright fun!   This is one of the first times such a large collection of his work has been on display in one location.
 
Please make a point to attend the show.  There are two entrances with plenty of parking on Jacks Shop Road and Route 29.

Project Supply Pools and Spas is offering weekly or bi-weekly pool cleaning for $50 per session. We will brush the walls, vacuum the floor, check the chemical level and adjust as needed, check psi on filter and backwash if needed, net pool water surface.
 
* Price does include the cost of chemicals.

2012 Taste of the Mountains Info

The 20th annual “TASTE OF THE MOUNTAINS” Street Festival, sponsored by the Madison Chamber of Commerce will be held on September 1, 2012 from 9am to 4pm.

This event is free and has free parking at the Madison County High School with shuttle buses that run throughout the day. There is a handicap bus as well, but there are some spaces available for handicap parking on Washington Street. The Madison Free Clinic will asking for donations for those spaces.

Madison is located 27 miles north from Charlottesville on Route 29 and 17 miles south of Culpeper on Route 29.

The event has earned its reputation for uniqueness with a following of visitors that return every year. In 1999 it was named as one of the top 20 festivals in the southeastern region. This occasion started in 1992 as a heritage festival that celebrates the Mountain and Traditional cultures of the 18th & 19th century America as reflected in the customs and history of the Blue Ridge Mountains region and has continued this theme.

The entire family can enjoy the day, browsing, shopping, enjoying the games, riding ponies, listening to great music, eating and taking pleasure in the vast array of entertainment.
